Be@ Pop Up Shops...

I have been involved with a series of pop up shops organised by a group of us who are all  new business start ups. We called the pop ups Be@...
The 2nd one we did (last Saturday 1st December) was Be@ Arcadia in Headingly and was really good! had a lot of people through the door who were really interested in my work which was really nice! Even got to drink some tasty beer while I was as it! ...always a plus! : )

Fabrication Pop Up Shop - October 2012

I took part in a Pop Up Shop in the Leeds Light shopping Centre in October, with Fabrication.

It was really interesting to see my work in a shop / retail environment rather than the art markets I have done.

My work was totally different to anything else in the shop, so it stood out quite well I think, which was good!

I did some hours in the shop on 2  different days, and I was looking at people's responses to the work which seemed really positive - they stopped and looked at it for a while! : ) 

Was really good to be part of the Pop Up - Fefintely open to more opportunities like this!

Artist Book & Zine Fair Friday 2nd Nov 2012

I took part in Sheer Wonder Press' Artist Book & Zione fair on Friday 2nd November 2012.

It was an awesome evening, depite the awful weather outside there was a really good turnout.  I met a lot of really lovely people which was nice too!

I had a selection of the original Diary Drawing books which people really were really responding well to, it felt so good to get them out of the house and seen!

I'd like to defnitely find some more Artist Book / Zine fairs to take part in, thats the right place for my work I think! : )

Artsmix Market #2 22nd September 2012

I did my second Art Market this weekend! Went really well again - had a few different wares to sell including some greetings cards & posters - the cards went down super well!

I got some fantastic feedback, my favourite was a little boy who bought a postcard with his pocket money! He also had a blue sketchbook which he carries around at all times in his pocket to draw in - that warmed my cockles! : )

Now Taking Commissions!...

I did this piece for a work colleague. It's for her brothers 50th birthday.  Pleased with how it turned out - and can do similar for other special occasions. If your interested drop me an email! : )

Some pics of the Artsmix stall I did on 25th August...

I did my first art market a few weeks ago - it went really well, and I got a lot of really positive feedback from people who stopped by which was great!

Following on from the market I went into OK Comics & Travelling Man in Leeds to see if they would stock my diary drawing zines and they both are! I'm massively super super chuffed about that and really pleased that they're out there!  : D

Anyhoo - here are some pics of the stall - hopefuly the first of many selling opportunities for me.  I'm particularly intersted in getting into some zine fairs,  artist book fairs and suchlike...
